My Art
"An artist must smash down the systems that domesticate the mind." - Jean Giraud (Moebius)
"There is no value in anything until it is finished." - Genghis Khan
This is an earlier piece I made in high school. I originally sketched it out with pen on lined paper. Then I used the Autodesk and Snapseed apps on my phone to finish it.
This piece was shown at a student art show held at The ENT Center for the Arts.
Feels

This is one of the pieces that sold at The ENT Center for the Arts end of the year art auction at . It shows a Robot slowly sinking into the red sands of Mars.
The writing in the background was done with pen and paper. The rest was done on Procreate for iPad. I like to incorporate this almost automatic writing in a lot of my art. It might look like gibberish now, but as I was writing it I could read it all. It is full of symbols and words that represent different meaningful events in my life. It sometimes contains inside jokes that only I would get. Once I finish writing it becomes more difficult to read and that is intentional.
Robot On Mars

This next piece is not like the others. That is because it is a painting. This was actually my final assignment in the 2D-Foundations class at UCCS. This was my favorite project in the class because figuring out the process was challenging. I started with a pen and paper sketch. Then I adjusted in Procreate, an art software tool for the iPad. Once I had the best lines and concepts, I painted a small canvas to figure out the color scheme. I filled in the colors on my iPad. Next, I took the outline of the digital sketch and used software to divide the sketch into four pages. Then I printed the pages and used them as a template for a very light sketch on the canvas with a pencil. Finally, I painted the project with acrylic paints and sharpies on canvas.
