About Me

I am a Technical Communication and Information Design (TCID) major at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), graduating in May of 2026.  My TCID degree specialization is in Design and Media. 

This coursework has prepared me for positions in public affairs, media, marketing, grant and proposal writing, user experience (UX) research and design, and technical writing.  Additionally, with a minor in Biology, I have an interest in the life sciences and would fit well in a research, scientific, or medical work environment.

Related to my interest in design and media, I am a professional artist, having had my work shown at two Student Art Shows at the Heller Center for Arts and the Humanities, and having sold two of my art pieces at the 2024 Fall Student Art Show and Auction, held at the Ent Center for the Performing Arts.  Another work is currently featured in Riverrun, Issue 53 (2026), the UCCS Art and Literature Book Series.

With wide-ranging interests, I would enjoy working in any number of diverse organizations. Raised on a farm in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, with later moves to southern New Mexico and Colorado, I have a love of the outdoors and a great respect for nature.  I am a musician, playing the clarinet for over a decade, and I have broadened my interest in music and the instruments I play, most recently posting an album of experimental Lo-Fi music on Spotify.  Overcoming several health challenges, I have a continuing interest in learning about the physical and mental aspects of health and wellness.  I have a positive outlook, a strong work ethic, and am eager to begin my career.   

I am seeking to enter the workforce in summer/fall 2026, in an internship or full- or part-time position in the public or private sector.  I also worked closely with two local non-profits during my college coursework, and I have an interest in continuing to support community non-profit organizations.
